MCO Cartel Edition 2.0 NOW OPEN

Good evening all.
Due to several issues on current edition, MCO Cartel Edition 2.0 will be released this next weekend with a complete rebuild of the main engine.
According to the current amount of players (<25), the agreement of all spanish players and the new system, all accounts form v1.7 will be deleted, so you will have to register again.
This new engine will fix all major issues, adding a lot of new improvements:
- Battle simulator.
- Hall of Fame.
- New mission system.
- More fleets and a more logical battle system.
- Full english translation.
- Internal Chat.
- Ticket Support System.
- New profile page.
- Avatar system.
- New expedition and reporting system.
- Records.
- Dark Legion as common enemy (on October).

Well, dudes, we are online.
Today and tomorrow I'll try to fix all possible game issues and translate the remaining 10% content to english.
Please report all bugs you find.
Davide, a visual fix made specially for you: Domains view only shows the right Corporation troops.

You can colonize 8 more sectors.
No, missions are ok, I'm just uploading their english language files, but the progress is already counting.

Soundmanager loads the 99% times. Did you try to reload the main page?
I'm using firefox 3.6.8 under win64 too, I got this issue few days ago, but after a minor script update now all works fine.

Thank you very much Chuca! It is really a great job!
Thanks also for the change in the Domains view, now is not too big and contains only the information needed.
For the moment, the only Bug I found is the inconsistency between Deuterium and Petroleum and Dark Matter and Power.
One question: why did you choose to use the Corporation specific Units only as Attack troops?

Well, that's only my point of view. At v1.0, defensive units were a mix between units, armours and weapons. Now I've picked only weapons to clarify the game structure.

I'll check again any other possible fix to this issue. It's worth listening the intro theme, above all you italian users. You know Lacuna Coil, isn't it?

Bug 001:
When building a Defense (MP-105 Pistol), there are two strange things and an error that prevents me to build it:
- No Cost is written
- Construction Time:
00h 00m 01s (seems too low)
- [2Moons Debug] PHP Warning in file /homepages/13/d337899792/htdocs/includes/pages/class.ShowShipyardPage.php on line 45: Wrong parameter count for min()
Bug002:
I launched "Armour upgrades" research, but the counter for the completion is not shown. This is valid for all levels.

Thanks Davide, I'll check it this afternoon.
EDIT: Bauhuas defenses were missing on the requierements construction array. Solved.
I've checked also the armour upgrades, both in spanish and english, and works fine.

i get the 1st mission completed hours ago, but the reward come only if u visit the mission page, so i found my 9-10 levels mines suddenly upgrated with problems for the energy

Yes Paizo, you have to go to Mission menu then reload the page.
Watch out that, with version 2.0, Colonize is very dangerous as there is high possibility that you will be attacked by Dark Legion or Corporations, which will destroy your Colonize ship. I lost two of them; you are warned!

Attenti che, con la versione 2.0, Colonizzare è molto rischioso perché c'è un'altra probabilità di essere attaccati dall'Oscura Legione o dalle Corporazioni, che distruggeranno la vostra Nave Colonizzatrice. Ne ho perse due; siete avvertiti!

Didn't see the "Done! Please refresh the page." when you finished it?

I didn't get any notification, basically i forgot about the mission until yesterday when i visited the mission page

In any case, I changed the strategy.
It seems better to go pure miner and following the path of the missions than starting colonize all the possible sectors, different from what I did in previous version.

By the way, I did not start "farming" the other players, as I do not know whether there is some kind of gentlemen agreement between Spanish Players.
I read the rules, which allow maximum of 6 attacks per day to a player, but I know that "farming" can be very annoying, resulting in people leaving the game. What do you think about it, Chuca?

Hi Davide.
The strategy to follow is a very personal choice, based to a great extent on funny preference. Do you enjoy mining? Attacking? Helping? That's up for anyone.
About the "gentlemen agreement between Spanish Players"... well, an example for you. There are two office partners registered at Mutant Online. The main target for them is to crush the other. So, spanish could help other spanish as italians could help italians. But remember this is a quite closed game, with little announcement. I think is more possible to see two bauhaus players allied than two spanish players.
Of course, I tell you that as I feel it. Maybe right, maybe not.
My personal strategy? A well balanced one.
My suggestion? Play and enjoy the way you'll enjoy the best (I apologize I don't speak italian just for this post, I'm sure I could send my "game feeling" better).

Hi Chuca,
When I played Ogame, I was a pure Crasher, I had 1300+ Battleships, 13000+ light fighters, thousands of cruisers etc. plus a big phalanx. No farmer, no Miner (I stopped at something like 25-22-18, so quite low levels).
Now, as I have less time to play (I have a job, and I am not a student anymore), and since there are few players in Universe, I think miner is a better strategy.

About gentlemen agreement: the point is that I could be able to attack some players, in orther to gather more resources, but this is the type of behaviour that can force some people to leave due to be attacked; in Ogame this is ok, but here we have few people, and I would like to avoid a loss of players.
For the moment, I will not attack anyone for the pure goal of gathering extra resources, maybe later on we could launch Wars between Alliances...

By the way, the issue with the counter is not present on this PC (corporate PC with Firefox 3.6.2); it is probably an issue of my home PC, which got Firefox 3.4.x.

login just few minutes ago and i get:

It just happened once, i tried to logout and to login again and everything worked
