About noob protection

Hi all.
Yesterday I changed the protection range in order to warm up the game, in spite og the non-agression pact between MCIC and The Cartel.
Now ranges are WEAK 2.0 / STRONG 0.3.
This means a player can receive attacks form players with up to the double of points and with the 70% less of points.
So a 10.000 points player can receive attacks from a 20.000-3.000 points range player.
Inactive players now are like standard players, referred to their points, in order to evade the farming attacks.
What do you think about it? Better to set another values?

Hi all.
I was searching for info about the classic noob protection system because it was weird to me that anyone at the developers forum did'nt notoce any supossed bug about it.
In fact, there's no bug. I paste the google translator german to english translation about the system:

guess that the factor of five since this is the one between X * 5 points can attack as there 5000-25000 points, where X is the height of your newbie protection, the times have been tested and some have the feeling I really there lie xD
100% sure I'm not.
I think that will mean, if it's true, that about 25.000 points this will be a total combat party. The only thong I can change as admin is the X * 5 factor.

Q:
i completed the research of Research Network while having 3 planets with the same research center level. Then i stored the research times in a file.
Today i upgraded the research center in other 2 planets to the same level, after that i compare the research time with the one i stored before to check if there was any improvements and...i found no difference!
I was wondering that more planets with the same level should lower the research time...is correct? Or the Research network need to be at a certain level to support a bigger amount of planets?

Hi Paizo.
For each Research Network level, a new research center joins the net, always taking the research center with higher level.
An example: if you got Research network lvl2; your research center levels are 10, 7, 5, 2 and 1; and you upgrade the level 5, 2 or 1 centers, there's no effect en the Research network.

Every Research Network Level will add one Research Lab, but:
1) Every Research Lab has to meet all the Requirements for the Research (if you are doing a Research that requires Research Lab 9 and you have Research Labs of level 10, 9, 5, the Research Network Level 2 will not help you).
2) The sector on which you start the Research will always be involved in the Network, even though other Labs may have higher levels.

It's quite possible I announce to switch to the XGP protection system at 0:00 hours, with an x5 above/below multiplicator.
So, a player with 10.000 point could be attacked by a player with up to 50.000 points and with at least 2.000 points.
This is privileged info for you. Start reinforcing yourselves!

Yes, I saw it yesterday. Now I'm working on a new noob protection system, but meanwhile is very possible I switch tonight to the classic protection system.
Extra info: I'm developing right now the v3.0. If the italian translation project hangs on, it will be launched when finished. When this moment will come, we should talk a lot about the way to start with this new version...

I tried to add to the production queue some Intersec missiles, of course i have enough resources ^^, in the production queue there was some other troops being created; when i click build to add them the page reload but no missile has been added to the queue and no resource has been used.
little one on battle simulator: the title in the rightmost table is 'trrops' instead of 'troops'

I would say you exceeded the maximum queue of the Barrack.

chuca, are we going to start from zero with the new version? Translation files change?

Hi Paizo. I think there's no problem about resources, but the silo capacity. Maybe your silo is full, so you must upgrade it in order to increase de missile storage.

That's the main question. If development goes the right way, there will be new features as civilian sector population or dark legion troops automated that could dramatically change the game.
For me, in order to rebuild the game, is easier to start from zero; and now there are players who knows the game so restarting will bring'em a new opportunity to be top gamers.
By the other side, maybe most of you "old gamers" will desire to keep your hard won points. database has changed a lot but I can migrate the contents with almost no problems.
So, when 3.0 comes, I'll announce the final changes and the decision will be up to you all, except I would get too much trouble... (pfff, day by day, my english is worst...

)
EDIT: but no, the core language italian files are the sime, maybe some lines added, but still the same...

Hi Paizo.
Old expedition system reports used on current Mutant Online version are hard to fix without changing the expeditions core. Changes will be made on v3.0.
I will ask right now on Italian translation thread about the status of the translation, because the core modifications for 3.0 is at 65%.

Hi Chuca,
i sent some metal resources in planet Sirio going over the max of 2M of storage, then i used some metal going to 1.978.118 units but it is still marked in red and the metal production is completely stopped. I send out some metal but the production is still stopped.

Hi Chuca,
I attacked Mvla and the attack resulted in a Moon, but the Debries Field have not been generated.
When I played OGame, some years ago, the Debries Field should always generate, even though a Moon is formed.
Is there a change in the new Ogame engines, or is it an MCO modification?
By the way, war is begun, it is party time!!!
