Hi again all italian users.

As related on previous threads, the new edition of Mutant Chronicles Online, AKA Cartel Edition, will be released on august with a few improvements.

You can enter the current link using "english" (without quotes) both as username as password to see the development. You can also register but there will be not fun due to constant changes and resets.

Interface is quite similar to the oldest one, but with a lot of changes in functionality and clearness. The thing that will be changed a lot is playing mode: users can join one of the five Megacorporations. Brotherhood and Dark Legion will be external players, supporting forces the first, attacking players the second. Also, Corporation Forces will be developed in two different installations, one for the soldierds and the other one for the vehicles. And more other stuff...

Of course, this new edition will be fully translated to english, and I will free the code to anyone who wants to make an italian (or no matter other language) translation.

ASh Ho capito .... sarebbe Ogame in versione mutant.... ma se gli screen shoot che ho visto sono reali non sembra esserci niente di mutant?

vengono solo cambiati i nomi.

You got it, FCM. As it is said, it's an Ogame engine modified to fit the MC Universe. We could make many changes (common allies, Brotherhood help, Dark Legion attacks, Cartel missions...), but it will still be that, an Ogame based engine.
If you like both Ogame tunned playing system and MC style, you will enjoy it. If not, you'll be bored with.
Quite simple...

Hi all again.

Cartel Edition will be released next friday afternoon, 20th august.
There are a lot of news and, best of all, I hope we can start playing with both spanish and english language.

If someone wants to traslate Cartel Edition to italian, let me know to deliver him or her the language pack (some thousand code lines, yeah, you'll have a lot of work XD).

I will post there the link few hours before the beginning.
Hope to see at least the great italian player I saw in the past edition.

Hi Davide.

The file is a .mo file, a php alike file. The "only" thing to do is to open the file with a text editor (I use Dreamweaver) and replace the spanish or english text with the italian one.
2.038 entries, troop descriptions included. There's no 1:1 translation needed, so if you got italian descriptions for MC troops from any web or manual, you can copy-paste.

A long patience work, but not a programming work.

Ok, I registered (username Davide).

Bug 001
I set English as language, but I got Spanish instead. Even in the Options in-game menù, the language is set to English (Ingles actually), but Spanish is still the language in-game.

Bug 002
Another thing that may be corrected is the "Lista de companeros" menu, which is written in 2 rows, and covers the underlying "Options" menu.

Bug 003
It seems that in "Edificios" the counter for the remaining resources needed to upgrade the buildings is bugged. Now I am waiting to build Crystal Level 3, got Metal 85, Requires Metal 122 and says "Restants" -77.

Hi Davide, thanks for the bug reporting.
Bug 001 -> Language selector is broken since a system update. Working to fix it.
Bug 002 -> "Lista de compañeros" (Buddylist) appears as well, written in 1 row, tested with three players with three different monitor resolutions.
Bug 003 -> Bug from remaining resources is known as a default engine bug. Refreshing the web page 1 or 2 times should fix it.

However, any new engine update, far from solving known bugs, adds some others. I'm developing a new MCO system based on 2moons right now. So much stable, with no major bugs and with lot of features.

Migration will be done in a few days, with no players data lose.

Hi Chuca,

for Bug002, which information would you need? Screen resolution? Browser version?

I would like to add one suggestion:
May you, please, list in the "Dominios" menu only the items that are possible to be built?
Right now, this menu lists all the possible Troopers and Defenses, while it would be better to list only the Corporation specific one.

Hi Davide, don't care about Bug 002, I will rename "Lista de Compañeros" to "Compañeros".

I thought months ago about the Dominios (Domains) view. Due to the existence of a previous Trading Mod, anyone could buy troops of other Corporations and the whole list was needed. Don't know yet to include or not this mod in MCO Cartel 2.0.

Thanks to your bug reporting and the one of spanish forum, and thanks the aid of a programming colleague, I think that 2.0 version will be ready before 10th september, with a lot of new features and with all these bugs fixed.

don't know if everything is implemented like in Ogame, but in original Ogame there is no a maximum level, neither for buildings nor for research; in any case, since the upgrade suffers from diminishing return, it becomes step by step less useful to upgrade.
