I think that Devon Aoki is perfect like real Bauhaus Valerie Duval. She is fantastic. Or, in alternative, new character for Mishima woman. What's the matter in a new character for Mishima?
At end, all that fans want, is a MC movie, not a movie called MC.

I am glad to hear of your enthusiastic support of all things Mutant Chronicles!
We think of the movie as a first in several to really explore the fantastic universe, potentially also in videogames and television series. But for that to happen, we must make a very successful movie, which attracts many many more than the existing MC fans. For most people, a compelling story is crucial, and then the backstory, or universe, will reinforce the pleasure. You must also remember that we are making an independent film, with an R rating, which is not the same process as a studio greenlighting a 100 million PG13 movie. We have to be more clever to succeed. I too believe that we have an assembled talent group which is astonishing.
There is a need to update Science fiction to remain fresh, or I believe it becomes dated. Therefore, we decided to let the moviemakers have some creative freedom since it is an adaptation of work which we are constantly updating. In fact, the COG game will also have an updated look but not following the movie look 100%. I will explore this thought further with you if you wish. Think of it like subsequent editions.

Noi pensiamo al film come al primo di una serie, per esplorare il fantastico universo di MC, possibilmente anche nei videogiochi e in una serie televisiva. Ma perchè accade, abbiamo bisogno di un film riuscito e di molto successo, che attragga molti più dei fans esistenti di MC.
Per molte persone, una storia coinvolgente è cruciale, e allora il background, l'universo che c'è dietro, aumenterà il piacere della storia.
Devi anche ricordare che noi stiamo facendo un film indipendente, con una classificazione R (Rated, vietato), che non ha lo stesso processo di un film classificato PG-13 (Parental Guidance-13, ovvero visione possibile per i bambini fino a 13 anni se accompagnati da un adulto) da 100 milioni di $.
Dobbiamo essere molto accorti per riuscire in questo. Credo anche che abbiamo messo insieme un gruppo di talenti fantastico.
C'è bisogno di aggiornare anche la fantascienza, o credo che alla fine anch'essa risulti datata.
Di conseguenza, abbiamo deciso di lasciare alcune libertà creative a chi sta lavorando al film, poichè è un adattamento di una cosa che stiamo sviluppando continuamente. Infatti, il COG Team farà un aggiornamento al look (di MC) ma che non seguirà il film al 100%. Se lo desideri, potrò analizzare ulteriormente questo concetto con te.
Penso che gradirete le nuove edizioni.
