Thomas Jane has been signed up to star in The Mutant Chronicles. The movie is being directed by Simon HUnter and written by Hunter and Ross Jameson. The movie will be set in the 23rd century, in which four giant corporations have pillaged the last of the planet's resources, causing a demonic, marauding army of underworld NecroMutants to wage war against humans for what remains. Jane will play a battle-weary Marine who leads a squad of soldiers against the alien hordes. It is based on the board game of the same title.

Thomas Jane has signed on to topline the sci-fi action epic "The Mutant Chronicles" based on the role-playing game of the same name reports Production Weekly.

Simon Hunter will helm the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ross Jameson. Set in the 23rd century, four corporations have pillaged the last of the planet's resources, causing a demonic marauding army of underworld NecroMutants to wage war against humans for what remains.

Jane will play a battle-weary Marine who leads a squad of soldiers against the alien hordes. Shooting is scheduled for early 2006.
