come film non era male il punitore, a parte il finale troppo (goffamente) trionfale, i personaggi erano diversi dal solito e mantenevano una certa credibilità. memorabile poi è la scena della lotta con il gigante biondo con la musica lirica di sottofondo. e sto jane proprio ci assomiglia al buon hunter, ce lo vedo davvero bene!

Questa è una dichiarazione rilasciata da Simon Hunter, nel 2000, quando sembrava che il film dovesse essere girato negli studi lussemburghesi dove è stato girato Wing Commander.

Hunter Helms Mutant Chronicles
British director Simon Hunter told Access Hollywood that he will helm a feature film based on the video game Mutant Chronicles, according to the Dark Horizons Web site. Producer Edward Pressman has been developing the project for years, according to the site.

Hunter will direct a first installment subtitled Doomtroopers, according to Dark Horizons. And he's making script changes: "I've brought it down from the Starship Troopers level to the Alien level," Hunter reportedly said.

Mutant Chronicles

1997 - This was JCs reported project after EFLA and before Vampires. The news first started with:

Pressman Films is currently in pre-production on a feature film set in the Mutant Chronicles universe, but with different continuity than the comic. An ambitious science fantasy thriller, Mutant Chronicles is being shot in England under the direction of Stephen Norrington.

This was the first announcement before JC's name was attatched to the project. This project seemed very exciting, it was based on a series of comics about a future inhabited by mutants. The film was going to be pretty huge and shot on location in London, JC's first directing stint over here. The news was confirmed in Empire Magazine Nov 1996:

John Carpenter has signed to direct Mutant Chronicles, a fantasy adventure which may shoot in the UK.

A few interviews with JC confirmed this was his next project after EFLA, they were even lining up a set of spin-off action figures for this movie. Then everything went quiet for a while and it became apparent that JC was no longer attatched to the project. An anonymous e-mailer informed me that he was working on the FX for this movie (he said they were pretty fantastic) when he found out JC was no longer going to direct. Apparently JC had requested a larger budget than the producers were willing to put up, so JC left the project. The latest news was that it may now become a Jackie Chan vehicle!

Da Steve Hora della Pressman, il film di Mutant Chronicles DOVREBBE essere in pre-produzione da dopo Natale, con inizio delle riprese dalla primavera 2006.

Aeon Flux è un cartone animato dei primi anni '90, trasmesso da MTV, diventato fumetto della SilverBullet Comics, una casa indipendente.
Parla di un movimento di resistenza in una società utopistica. Niente di incredibilmente originale, ma comunque guardabile.
Io spero che abbia MOLTO successo, il che significherebbe altri adattamenti cinematografici di fumetti e cartoni.

Dopo il film di Devilman...

sinceramente l'ambiantazione (non la trama) di quel film di cui hai messo il link mi ricorda in modo pauroso l'anime giapponese Wolf rain (una vera patacca priva di storia e mordente ma che aveva disegni, specie degli scenari, davvero stupendi e che in certe scene ricordavanop Luna city o Heimburg) per il resto il film non mi sembra gran che...la solita cosa già vista...

Scusate, ma non doveva uscire nel 2006 il film di MC? ora dicono che iniziano le riprese...mi chiedo: ma non è che sommeremo 5 abbandoni della produzione presto?-_-"
